skirt, sweater & necklace: topshop - boots: zara - bag: vintage - rings: hm
Photographs by Megan Ward

I've developed a new found love for the simplicity of wrap skirts. Pop on, pop off . . .  too easy. The architectural design of this topshop boutique one set it apart from last years galore of wrap skirts, and made me love it enough to purchase. An unforeseen issue arose whilst wearing it though, that little cut out section has a tendency to travel, making flashing a little thigh, (potentially) flashing a little somethin else . . . the moral to the story being; wrap skirts with cut outs are fun, but risky business. Purchase with caution.

Also, the weather's being an unpredictable moody bitch again, so it was back to the knitwear for me.

Jersey t-shirt dress

Dress/bag: primark - shirt: topshop - hat: river island - boots: Emma Cook for topshop

You may have noticed that I have the tendency to pair A seemingly sporty piece with something much less sporty (AKA 5 inch heels). Maybe I'm trying to be rebellious or perhaps I just like the juxtaposition of an unlikely pairing . . . even at the risk of looking like an absolute prat. Which I'll admit, I've been successful of on more than one occasion. But the less said about that, the better.

Moving on . . . I chose to give this look a little somthin, somthin by adding a veiled beanie. Yes I know it has been done already by the blogosphere glitterati and more, but the tulle was just so cheap and being the bargain hunter that I am I couldn't resist!

Hope you like, Laura x x x

P.s I was thinking of doing a quick DIY tutorial on how to veil a beanie. Is that something you'd be interested in seeing?

She can't sing, she can't dance, but who cares, she dresses like Rihanna

Boots: Dr Martens - shorts & tee: Rihanna for river island - hat: river island - necklace: topshop

I went a wee bit mad in the sales a few weeks back, it was just after my b-day and I meant to share the haul with you, but my computer kicked the bucket (as you know), preventing me from doing so! But don't worry, I will be wearing alot of it in the coming weeks.

These shorts and tee are both Rihanna for river island, and I got them both for £20! . . . £20!! The shorts were originally £50 (which I never would've paid, considering the sun only makes an appearance 3 days a year here in Ireland) and the tee was £25, so I made a pretty good saving on the two. I love that the shirt is attached to the shorts, it's lazy styling I know, but they are just beaut! And I may have a go undoing the stitch and using them separately.

Hope you like x x x

P.s I'm not really that bad a dancer! At least I seem to think so . . . my friends might disagree . . .

Topshop errthaaang

Everything: topshop

I promised this post earlier this week, to debut my beloved new topshop reflect heels. Which I'm glad to let you know are pretty effing comfy!

I got these shorts on sale a few weeks back, and love that they are kinda sporty but not a full blown runner short, and the lace of course is a nice little touch. The tee (also from topshop, need I say) was a great wee bargain at only £6! Comes in a variety of colours and the raw hems are just beaut! I chose grey marl cause I'm kinda obsessing over it at the minute. Literally, if it's grey, I'll have it!

Something else I've been obsessing over is this curb chain necklace. I have a feeling I'll be wearing it loads over the coming months. Also contemplating on the white version and maybe even go the whole haul and get the gold version too, and risk emulating Mr T . . . decisions, decisions.

Hope you like x x x
