Jeans (customised) & shirt: topshop - shoes: converse at asos - bag: Italy
Photographs by Megan Ward

Longest blogging hiatus ever!! I hope we can move past this though . . . forgive me?

K, thanks, Love ya! kisses!

Moving on . . . I almost wore this look with a block heel, but did a u-turn on my way out the door to make the switch to converse. I honestly can't remember the last time a pair of heels donned my feet before 8pm, it's always one trainer or another these days.

I'm not complaining though, I'm really digging that casual/cool look as of late.

P.s notice I followed through and made the new bag purchase? I bought it in italy a few weeks back. It locks . . . with an actual key! Cool, right!? Yes! . . . until you lose the key that is.

easter sunday vibes

Open the shirt, roll up the sleeves, add a nude lip and you're good to go . . . do be careful though, easter egg and white jeans do not mix!

Hope you're all having a lovely weekend

dress: oh my love - tee: topshop - boots: Dr martens - bag: primark - sunglasses: eBay
Photographs by Megan Ward

A few weeks back the lovely Elizabeth of Style fruits UK asked if I would like to take part in their "Pastel me pretty" blogger competition. As you can probably guess from the title, entrants were required to submit a look with a pastel theme, which is a daunting task for a gal who cringes at anything super girly! But I accepted the challenge, and when I spied this Oh my love slip dress in the topshop sale I knew I found the perfect garment! Pastel, but with the flexibility to grunge it up a little! And here you have it! My translation of "pastel me pretty".

BUT with uni sucking the (social) life outta me this past few weeks my entry is quite late and I've a lot of catching up to do in the voting! So if you like this look then please be a darling and vote for me HERE!

Thank ya!

dress: topshop - sweater: h&m - blazer & bag: vintage - boots: zara

Hi guys!! Apologies for being THE BIGGEST FLAKE EVER! But with the final few weeks of uni coming in good and fast I just can't seem to find the time to post (being a mum AND a student is a difficult balancing act). But I was out grabbing a few supplies earlier today and snapped a few quick pics before my lack of posting hit the three week mark (too long, I know!).

Anywhooooo, I'm literally so frickin happy that spring has decided to make an appearance! I had a celebratory bonfire (albeit imaginary) and threw all my tights on it whilst singing and dancing in a somewhat sadistic/tribal fashion. 'Twas great fun, I highly recommend it to any fellow hosiery haters.

Although it was sunny today, it wasn't overly warm, so I was still able to throw a few layers over this lace dress. It's great to be wearing some lighter colours again, and I added the pop of blue and pink to add a little sumthin sumthin and make this look feel full on springy (is that even a word? I reckon not).

So there you have it, I hope to post soon!

Lav ya's,

I think it's time to give in and soothe my craving for the cut out boot.

Turban or not Turban

playsuit/shirt: topshop - jacket/turban: asos - dr marten boots - scarf: H&M - bag: vintage
Photographs by Megan Ward

I snapped up this turban from Asos, thinking it was a cool substitute for a beanie. My partner didn't respond as I hoped when I did my daily "do you like my outfit" twirl . . . it went a little like this . . .

Me; "do you like my outfit?" . . .
him: "that's ni . . . what the fuck is that on your head!?"
Me: "it's a turban" (quite poudly)
him: "but you're not . . . Sikh?"
Me: (quite angrily) "IT'S A TURBAN! IT'S NICE!!"
Him: "ok . . . yes, it's . . . nice . . . "
Me: Gives him burning stare, daring him to insult my beautiful baby turban one more time. He doesn't so I exit the room and go straight to the mirror to converse with turban and confirm how fabulous turban is . . .

Men just don't get it sometimes *sighs

sweater & shirt: primark - boots & trousers: topshop - bag: Zara
Photographs by Megan Ward

Have you noticed that things have gone full blown 90's this past few months? Fuzzy clueless-esque sweaters have been all over the high street, and I had to ignore the voices in my head (that were screaming "what the fuck are you doing!!? That sweater is PINK . . and . . . FUZZY!!!) when I felt uncharacteristically drawn to this gorgeous little top. I'm definitely not a girly girl, and "cute" clothing kinda makes me cringe. But my style has been slightly bipolar lately, so in the end I gave in. What the heck, it was only a tenner.

I toughened it up with a little leather/chunky boots. And voila . . .

Hope you like, Laura x x x

Part deux, the mulder platform

All black errrthang! (well almost)

The Mulder platform, lace underlay, dark lips and  fuzzy beanies . . . just a few of the things that are on my hitlist.
